When we founded Prime Gate Africa in 2020, we set out to answer a question that too few were asking honestly: why does so much international capital circle Africa without ever landing?
Africa is no longer defined by potential. It is defined by opportunity.
The answer is rarely a shortage of money, and never a shortage of opportunity. It is a shortage of trusted structure. Investors do not lack appetite. What they lack is a counterpart who understands both the boardroom in Riyadh or Doha and the ministry in N’Djaména, Bangui or Zanzibar City, and who can hold both to the same standard.
That is the space we occupy. We are not intermediaries passing documents between parties. We design, structure and deliver collaborations: identifying the right consortium, opening the door at the highest level of the state, negotiating terms that both sides can defend, and staying until the first stone is laid.
The results speak in specifics. A $100 million agreement for airport infrastructure in the Central African Republic. A 50MW solar project with the Ministry of Energy of Chad. A billion-dollar infrastructure initiative with the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar. Each began the same way, with a conversation nobody else was positioned to convene.
Infrastructure remains closest to our purpose, because it is the precondition for everything else. A nation cannot industrialise without power, cannot trade without ports and roads, cannot feed itself without the logistics to move a harvest. Every project we bring forward is measured against one question: does it build lasting national capacity?
